Joaquin Alvarez

Historian

Hello everyone. I am Joaquin Alvarez, and it is an honor to be your 2026-2027 historian! I was born and raised in Plano, Texas. I am a fourth year biology major with a minor in Korean, and I have been doing photography for about four years now. For anyone curious, my glass is a 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens, and my body is a Canon EOS 6D Mark II!

When I’m not taking photos, you can find me in the music building practicing violin (11 years in the making!), practicing ballroom dancing (or Texas two-step), or honing in on my baking skills.
